—and twenty years later I made it to Denver with my little family of three. Daughter Lisa was just ten months old and rode in her little baby basket in the front seat of the U-Haul all the way from St. Louis. The anticipation and excitement made this trip the most memorable of my life. Not the trip, but the anticipation !!! A dream being fulfilled.

As a resident of Colorado for the last 30 years, I’m still thrilled and privileged to call the Centennial State home. Having traveled five continents, I’ve never found a place more captivating, and even after 30 years, …continuously captivating!

If you already live in Colorado or the Rocky Mountain region, I don’t have to tell you of our abundant blessings here. I first came to Colorado at the impressionable age of nine. I fell in love with the mountains, beauty everywhere, and made several subsequent return trips, including a summer job at Coors, and ultimately made Colorado my home. My love and continued thirst for outdoor experiences has only intensified and expanded over the years. There is so much to do! To enjoy! • The four hundred sixty – 460 - mile Colorado Trail begins in northern Douglas County in beautiful Waterton Canyon. You’ll see big horned sheep in the wild as you head up the Canyon from north Douglas County.
